3.  Replace the first reamer guide with the second guide, and the first reamer with the second reamer.

4.  Ream the hole out using the second reamer and ample lubrication.  Take care not to push too hard on   the reamer when reaming, as it can overly enlarge the bore, causing a loose bushing.

5.  Clean the case before proceeding to step number six.

2.  Ream out the bore with the first reamer, applying ample lubrication.  For lubrication, we recommend cutting oil.  ATF, will work, however it does not lubricate as well, shortening the life of the reamers.

Please visit the corresponding "Reamer" page for further reaming information

The SF-99 Servo Repair System is a patented tool system for the repair of worn servo pin bores.  All of the kits use the same basic process in which they enlarge the bore with two reamers and install a bushing.  The kits require no special machinery. Once you have a master kit, all you need is a drill, cutting oil, and Loctite.  The system restores the pin bore to it's original dimension, allowing you to use original equipment servo pins, but still stopping the leak and saving the case.

Each kit can be purchased as either a sub or master kit.  The kits are broken into color named "series."  The "series" are divided according to tooling sizes.  For example, a 5RW "Master" Kit contains all tooling (jigs, guides, reamers, drivers, gauge pin, and bushings) needed; while a 5RW "Sub" kit contains only the two 5RW jigs, gauge pin, and bushings.  The 5RW kit is a "Black series" kit.  This means that if you have a 5RW Master kit, you can purchase any other Black series sub kit.  To expand to a different color series, you will, however, need to purchase a Master kit of that color series.  This allows the mechanic to expand his capabilities without buying duplicate tooling.  The reason for this confusion is that some of the kits use different size reamers and guides.  All of the kits (Master and Sub) come with enough bushings for three transmissions, and they are all used in the same, simple, way

Below, you'll find seven general steps for the use of the SF-99.  As you'll see, there's really nothing to it.

That's all there is too it.  Pretty simple a?

 7.  On some applications it is necessary to drill an apply hole.  Refer to the instructions for each kit for locations and hazards.

1.  Install the drill jig into the case by setting the jig into the servo. Depending on application, either install the servo’s snap-ring in the groove, or retain it with a bolt.  Next, place the first reamer guide into the jig.

6. Apply Loctite® (preferably green #640) or equivalent to the bushing and drive the bushing in by hitting the driver until the bushing bottoms.
